How to turn JPG images into a PDF

What goes into the PDF

Each JPG compression stream is copied into the PDF. The page transform keeps standard EXIF camera orientation without decoding or re-encoding the image. The verifier then checks every page size and the raw pixel width and height of every embedded JPG.

Most converters decode every photo and encode it again, which softens detail and adds fresh compression artefacts to an image that already had some. This one does not decode at all. The existing JPEG compression stream is copied into the PDF, and the page transform carries the standard EXIF camera orientation, so a picture taken sideways stands up in the document without a single pixel being touched.

That has a practical consequence worth knowing before you start: the PDF is roughly the size of the photos plus a small amount of document structure. It cannot come out smaller, because nothing was compressed a second time. Are my JPG files uploaded?
No. The PDF writer and output checks run in this browser tab.
Does JPG to PDF change image quality?
No. Each JPG byte stream is embedded directly without being decoded and re-encoded. The PDF can scale its display on the page, but the stored source pixels do not change.
Does it keep camera rotation?
Yes. The tool reads standard EXIF camera orientation and applies it to the PDF page without changing the JPG bytes.
Can I mix portrait and landscape JPGs?
Yes. Fixed paper sizes turn automatically for landscape images. Match image gives every page the displayed shape of its source image.
Does JPG to PDF make text selectable?
No. JPG contains pixels, not selectable characters. This conversion does not run OCR.
What does the JPG to PDF check cover?
