How to remove PDF pages

  1. Choose the PDF

    Press Choose a PDF, or drop the file on the page. Every page preview is drawn in this browser tab.

  2. Mark pages for removal

    Use Remove this page on each page you do not want. Mark all and Clear marks handle the visible set at once.

  3. Review the page counts

    The editor keeps every page visible and shows how many pages will be removed and how many will remain. Undo and Redo revise the plan.

  4. Download the checked PDF

    The new PDF is opened again and compared with the kept source pages before the download appears.

Where Delete PDF pages fits

Most pages get deleted for one of four reasons: a blank sheet the scanner fed through, a cover page nobody needs, a separator repeated through a batch, or an internal appendix that should not go out with the copy you are sending. All four are the same operation, and all four are easier to check than to describe, which is why every page stays on screen until you agree to the removal.

Nothing is removed while you are choosing. Marked pages stay visible and stay marked, the count of what will remain updates as you go, and Undo and Redo step through the plan rather than through the file. The document itself is untouched until the removal runs, and even then the original file on your disk is left alone: the result is a new PDF, checked against the pages you kept, offered as a download.

Blank pages are common enough to have their own route. Remove blank pages from a PDF starts on that job directly. If the pages you want are the ones to keep rather than the ones to lose, Extract PDF pages and Split PDF approach it from the other side. To reorder what remains, use Organize pages; to straighten a sideways scan, use Rotate PDF; and to attach the trimmed document to another one, use Merge PDF.

One case deserves a warning before you start. Deleting a page from a digitally signed document breaks the signature, because the seal is computed over the bytes of the whole file and those bytes have changed. The removal itself still works. The proof that vouched for the original does not survive it, so keep the signed copy and send the trimmed one beside it.

Are my PDF pages uploaded?

Can I undo a page marked for removal?
Yes. Use Undo and Redo for individual changes, or Clear all marks to keep every page again.
Can I delete every page?
No. A PDF needs at least one page, so the tool requires one page to remain.
Does selectable text stay selectable?
Yes. Kept PDF pages are copied instead of rendered as pictures. The output is reopened and its selectable text is compared with the kept source pages.
What does the delete-pages check confirm?
It checks that the output opens, contains the expected kept pages in order, preserves page sizes, and retains at least 98% of their selectable text.
Will printed page numbers change?
No. A page number printed in a header or footer is part of that page. Removing another page does not rewrite printed numbers.
What may not carry into the new PDF?
Document-level bookmarks, custom page labels, links to removed pages and interactive form behavior may not carry into the new file.
