Extract PDF pages

or drop one here
Choose a PDF file first.

Select the source pages you need, then download them as one checked PDF or as separate checked PDFs packed into a ZIP. Page order never changes, and Select all, Deselect all, Undo and Redo revise the set. Each output PDF is opened again and compared with its selected source page. The original stays unchanged and never leaves this browser tab.

How to extract PDF pages

  1. Choose the PDF

Press Choose a PDF, or drop the file on the page. Every page preview is drawn in this browser tab.

  2. Select the pages

Mark each source page you want. Select all, Deselect all, Undo, Redo and Clear selection revise the set without changing page order.

  3. Choose one PDF or separate PDFs

One PDF puts the selected pages into one file. Separate PDFs makes one checked PDF per selected page and packs them into one ZIP.

  4. Download the checked output

Each output PDF is opened again and compared with its selected source page before the download appears.

Where Extract PDF pages fits

Extracting is what you want when the pages you need are a small part of something long: the two pages of a contract that carry signatures, the one invoice inside a monthly statement, the chapter a colleague asked for out of a 300 page manual. Everything else stays where it is. The source PDF is never modified, so the copy on your disk after the download is the same copy that was there before.

Two shapes of output cover almost every case. One PDF holds the selected pages together in their original order, which suits a chapter or a signed section. Separate PDFs, packed into a ZIP, give each page its own file, which suits a batch of invoices or receipts that will be filed one at a time. Select all, Deselect all, Undo and Redo make the selection quick to revise before either one runs.

Page order never changes here. If page 9 came before page 12 in the source, it comes before page 12 in the output, whichever shape you chose. To reorder pages, use Organize pages first. To cut a long document into parts at chosen boundaries rather than pick individual pages, use Split PDF. To remove pages instead of keeping them, use Delete PDF pages. To put extracted pages beside another document, use Merge PDF, and Compress PDF shrinks the result if it is going out by email.

A signed document is the one case worth checking before you extract. The pages you pull out carry the visible content, but not the digital signature that covered the original file, because that seal is computed over bytes the extract no longer contains. Send the signed original when the recipient has to verify it, and the extract when they only have to read it.

Questions

Are the extracted pages uploaded?
No. Reading, previews, extraction, verification and download creation all run in this browser tab.
Can I extract one page?
Yes. Select one page and choose One PDF. The output contains that page alone.
Can I extract a page range?
Yes. Select every page in the range. The output keeps the selected pages in their original source order.
Can I download each selected page separately?
Yes. Choose Separate PDFs. Each selected page becomes one PDF inside a single ZIP download.
Does the original PDF change?
No. The tool creates new output files and leaves the original file on your disk unchanged.
Does the extracted text stay selectable?
Yes. Selected pages are copied instead of rendered as pictures. The output is reopened and its selectable text is compared with the source pages.
What does the extraction check confirm?
It checks that every output opens, contains the selected pages in source order, preserves page sizes, and retains at least 98% of their selectable text.
What may not carry into the extracted PDF?
Document-level bookmarks, custom page labels, links and interactive form behavior may not carry into an extracted file.

The other pdfpix tools

All 30 of them run in a browser tab like this one. Each reads its own output back and checks it before offering the download, and none of them needs an account.
